D) Sundarban is unique also in its vegetation called ‘mangrove forests’ means a community or association of trees / plants which can survive in sea water or swampy brackish water of tidal zones viz. around tropical seas, bays, deltas and in estuaries ( estuary = large river-mouth with tidal effect ).
Total Embankment :  in around sundarbans3,500 km, Damage in Alia (25th May 2009, 778 km). 178 km. washout and 600 km. seriously damage
Total main river: 8 [ Raimongal, Harinbhanga, Gowasaba, Matla, Thakuran, Saptamukhi, Muriganga and Hoogli ]
